Artist Simon Starling will be speaking at the Oakland, California campus of CCA Monday, January 28th at 7pm.

“Nobel Prize winner Alexis Carrel once said, ‘The atmosphere of libraries, lecture rooms, and laboratories is dangerous to those who shut themselves up in them too long. It separates us from reality like a fog.’ This is a reality that I’ve experienced throughout my studies, but the Kadist Foundation lecture series functions in reverse. Being that we live in San Francisco, I have at times, quite literally, walked through the fog to see a light at the corner of 20th and Folsom Street.”
