Yto Barrada’s work is included in the impressive exhibition Six Lines of Flight: Shifting Geographies in Contemporary Art. Featuring nearly twenty artists and collectives from six countries, the exhibition provides a look at work emerging from non-dominant art centers. The catalogue is out now and features an essay by Kadist SF Director Joseph Del Pesco and writer, translator, and performer Christian Nagler. The essay, titled “Bay Area Art and the (Counter) Culture of Silicon Valley” is excerpted on SFMOMA’s Open Space blog.
